ABOUT US
The board of directors and employees of Disabled Veterans Charities take modest pride in the fact that we run a clean operation in a professional manner and manage to realize a good deal of net income which is channeled to deserving programs that actually get homeless veterans off the streets and back on the road to a decent life. We acknowledge that running this business is far easier than running the long-term rehabilitation programs that we choose to support. And that's why we run charitable thrift stores, so that we can assist and reward the best programs we can find and let them do the really hard work. We are especially fond of, and in support of, two organizations that serve homeless veterans exclusively: United States Veterans Initiative (aka U.S. Vets) and New Directions.
